Happy February, friends! Remember back in December when I asked you to share your thoughts on Her Philly and so many of you did?! You guys are the best. I asked you for similar feedback in 2014, but when the survey was done, only I was able to see your answers. So this year, inspired by Sarah of Style It and pretty much every blogger who linked to this Wardrobe Oxygen post, I decided to share this year’s survey results with all of you lovely ladies (and a few fine gentlemen!).

Bring. On. The. Cold. I know some of you rejoiced with the 70 degree weather the past few weeks, but not me. I actually prefer not to be sweating as I’m schlepping up and down the stairs of Anthro to finish my holiday shopping, thank you very much. However, I gotta tell you guys: this holiday spirit thing? I’m in it. December has been good to me, and I have a few little things I wanted to share as my fall update, sneaking it right in before winter officially comes on Monday.
Happy Friday! It’s been a fun week, hasn’t it? Never have I ever had a party to celebrate Her Philly’s Birthday, but this year my BF & BFFs totally broke that tradition. I am a lucky lady. Anyway, today is the last day of Her Philly’s 3rd birthday celebrations, so I made sure it was a good one.
Prizes on prizes on prizes! I hope you’re all enjoying the birthday celebrations; I know I’m loving seeing those entries tick up and up! Today I have another amazing giveaway for you, and, yes, it may look familiar. You all loved this prize so much last year, I’ve brought it back for another year.
One prize down, three to go! I promised you that these prizes would be excellent ways to treat yourself this holiday season, and today’s prize does just that. It comes from one of my favorite gems in the city, and it’s a gift you’ll be able to savor for months & months to come!
This year’s Her Philly Birthday Giveaway week is here! My first prize is a little experience that will take you out to the Philly burbs, but I promise, it’s so worth it.
You didn’t think I forgot about my ladies, did you? 😉 The second post in my annual gift guide series is always my favorite, because I get to search the internet for the best gifts that Philly ladies (just like me, naturally) would love to receive this holiday season. Similarly to this year’s Philly Guy Gift Guide, most of these gifting ideas ship from or can be bought in the city, or are just plain inspired by Philadelphia.
It’s pretty much fall – HOORAY. Fall, along with being my favorite season in general, is my favorite season for dating. You get to do cute, cozy activities, you don’t have to worry about sweating excessively before you even arrive at your destination, and (most importantly) your wardrobe options are much more robust.
Philly has so many seasonal things to do within a short drive, so listen up ladies, for this is one of the few times that I will advocate leaving the city and heading out to the burbs. The reasons for my acceptance of this are two-fold; first: concrete places without pumpkin patches or warm apple cider don’t necessarily scream fall, and second: our driving tolerance is at an all-time high due to this summer’s recent beach trips. And now, on to the dates!
I am very lucky that my family lives relatively close to Philly, making their trips frequent (and welcomed). Included in those trips are our aptly titled “Girls Weekends,” where my mom, sister, sister’s puppy Ellie, and I (sorry, dad!) romp around the city eating, shopping, and laughing. Thanks to one of my Christmas gifts to my mom & sis (gift cards – not my most creative year), we picked one of the the season’s first warm weather weekends and had a lovely time. So, with Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I wanted to share the deets of what I think was a pretty perfect Mother Daughter Day in Philadelphia.
Like I said in my Philly Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, I’ve never really gotten worked up over the big V-Day. What I do get worked up about is taking the time to appreciate yourself – your body, your mind, your friends, and your blessings. So this past Valentine’s Day (excuse the 30+ days it took me to get this post up), I celebrated by treating myself. The result was pretty much a Philly dream day for me, and I hope by sharing, I can encourage all of you to take the time to treat yourselves, too.
