As most of you know, Her Philly is not my full-time gig. I work with a v fun and v hip group of coworkers who, luckily, enjoy hanging out with each other outside of work. Of course, there are frequent and necessary happy hours and dinner dates, but sometimes, when you need those “team building” events, it’s hard to come up with something everyone agrees on. Our team recently grew, and coming up with something everyone wanted to do proved to be a little more difficult than our boss thought. Searching team building atlanta provided us with a number of awesome ideas though. So, a few of my coworkers (thank you, Alex, Chelsea, Tim & Zanaya!) came up with some great ideas and we put it to a vote. This year’s Her Philly Birthday Giveaway week is here! My first prize is a little experience that will take you out to the Philly burbs, but I promise, it’s so worth it.
Longwood Gardens is one of those Philly burbs staples that most of us have ventured to at some point in our lives, whether it was on a grade school class trip or a sorority sisterhood retreat (hey, DG!). I like to bop down there every once in a while just to walk through and take in the acres and acres of gorgeous plants and flowers (because seriously, it doesn’t get much prettier). When I heard about Nightscape, Longwood Gardens’ new “light and sound experience,” I knew I wanted to get back this summer.
Summer has been glorious so far; walking around during the 8:00 pm hour still surrounded by light is something I’ll never take for granted. Besides my California trip (more on that soon!), the two back-to-back sore throat bugs I’ve been hit with (speaking of: the new Jefferson Urgent Care – so quick!), I’ve been doing my fair share of fun things in the city, and I thought it was time to update you. I also realized I missed a spring update in my “Philly Girl Life” little series, so you guys are long overdue to hear some of my ramblings.
