{Snazz Up Your Man} Indochino The Traveling Tailor Is In Town

It’s wedding season, and who deserves a pick-me-up more than the #1 man in your life? Whether that man is your hubby, father, brother, BF or BFF, I bet you know someone who is in need of a new look. Maybe he has been talking about picking up a new suit forever or wants to break out of his fashion rut. Well lucky for him, you are a well educated Philly lady and know just the place to take him! But hurry & make plans quick – you’ve only got one week! If you’re a woman looking for a suit, take a look at this guide to tailored women’s suits and creating your own custom suit experience.

Meet Indochino, the traveling tailor pop-up shop, here in Philly (1518 Walnut Street) now through May 27th.

Last week, I was able to attend Indochino’s media event. My partner in crime for the evening was my co-worker & bud Mike. As you can see, Mike is quite tall, so custom tailoring is essential to getting the perfect fit for a dress shirt & suit.

When we walked in the gorgeous pop-up shop, we were greeted with swatches of beautiful fabrics and colorful accessories. After a bit of browsing, Mike was ready for his fitting! Eve is one of Indochino’s expert fit specialists and she took all of Mike’s measurements. After the fitting, Inchochino will store your guy’s measurements online, so all they have to do is pop on the website & order their custom suit.

After the suit fitting, it was time for Mike to pick out his custom shirt. If you book an appointment at Indochino while they’re still in Philly, you can receive a free custom shirt and gift set ($160 value) with your suit purchase (while quantities last)! Talk about a great deal.

Mike went with this fun purple gingham shirt. Once the shirt is picked, Indochino offers customization for the collar, pocket, lining, monogramming and more! I think Mike had a lot of fun picking out the features of his new shirt.

Since I didn’t experience the process directly, I asked Mike to tell us about his visit: “Being 6’5, it’s really hard to find a suit that fits perfectly! I had a great time getting fitted at Indochino, and am excited to order my first custom suit.” Thanks for coming with me, buddy!

Even if you can’t make it to the Philly event, you can still take advantage of Indochino’s awesome custom clothes for your man. Don’t know his measurements? Like Indochino on Facebook & they’ll send you a free tape measure, complete with an online video to help you get it right.

Let me know if you’ll be checking out Indochino this week! And tell me, what’s the most original gift you’ve gotten your guy? xx

We adopted a puppy!!! 🖤 Meet Putter. He was born in January in Mississippi, and brought to PA with his mom & siblings for adoption by @tlcrescuepa.

I had been applying to rescue a pup for almost a year, so I am so thankful to @tlcrescuepa for giving us a shot. We brought Putter home 4/26/22. 🥰

Putter is fitting into our family so well, and we are loving watching him grow and learn new things. Jim & I are taking him to puppy class every Saturday and we are excited to learn more ourselves!

I could spam you with a million pictures but I created an Insta for the baby so I don’t go overboard here. 😂 You can follow @putterthepuppy to see more of our small boy. 🥹
The last night of @linnytharp’s Philly bachelore The last night of @linnytharp’s Philly bachelorette was such a joy it deserves its own post. 🚃

I have talked about the @foundingfootsteps tours for years. The owner, Tim, is such an asset to the Philly community, and I was excited to support his company for our ladies night out. 💃🏻

I booked us the Beer & Bands trolley tour. We (the 8 of us and 3 sweet younger gals) got picked up at Betsy Ross house with our BYO @highnoonsunsips and singing voices ready. 🎶

The trolley comes equipped with musicians and an amazing driver (shoutout Koser, Nate & Justin!) and takes you on a drive throughout the city, while the musicians play Britney Spears, BSB, & other assorted covers. Though we did make several suggestions to add more Taylor songs into rotation. 😉

The windows are open and we were loudly singing along, so early on, in our drunken happiness, we decided to start waving to people out the window. Once we started getting a few waves back, it became the sole focus of the night, singing and seeing how many waves we could secure (it was a 95% wave-back rate).

We laughed and sang and just had the most fun tour ever. The tour also stops at a brewery or two (hence that part of the name), we stopped at @victorytaproom_phl on ours, but we were mostly happy to be waving on the trolley. 😂

I can’t recommend @foundingfootsteps for your next girls night out enough. 🖤
Part 2 of my sister’s #PhillyBachelorette ✨ O Part 2 of my sister’s #PhillyBachelorette ✨

Our Saturday bachelorette day started off with breakfast at our @airbnb (@hot_bagels brought by @caitlyn22b were the star). We made some drinks and headed to @oldcityphilly for our surprise (to @linnytharp) @airbnbexperiences tour - “Hamilton - The Tour Where it Happens!”

Lindsay is a big @hamiltonmusical fan and this was an absolutely hysterical way for us to spend the afternoon. Our tour guide, Reid, brought along a speaker and played/rapped along to several Hamilton tracks on the streets of Philly. We learned a lot about the true Hamilton story and had just so, so much fun.

After the tour, we got a drink at @theploughphilly and bopped over to @luchacartelphilly for a seriously delicious dinner & margs. Our night event deserves its own post, so more on that in the final Bach post! 😉
