Fall has been lovely so far. Layers, tights, burgundy lip color, it’s all pretty great to me. I have started working a “day off” into my weekly calendar, to sort of maintain my sanity, but also to allow me to get some things done. Life is so much more productive when you actually have time to work on tasks – don’t you think? Here are the other things on my mind lately . . .
Carbs, Carbs, Carbs: I am really looking forward to heading back to my parents’ house to spend time with the fam over Thanksgiving. Some other things I’m hoping to work into my trip: a pedicure, a stop (or several) to my favorite thrift store, finishing up some blogging, and making a dent in my huge stack of magazines. I just sent my insane amount of laundry off to a service in the city (more on that later!) so I wouldn’t have to tackle it while I was home, so, hi Mom, you’re in luck 😉
Look Up at the Stars: Speaking of movies, this month’s Movie Club was The Theory of Everything, and it was absolutely fantastic. I didn’t know much about Stephen Hawking before I saw the movie, but it’s sort of unfathomable to hear his journey. The performances by Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones were phenomenal, and really recommend checking it out. Bring a few tissues . . . so many feelings.
Nightmares Dressed like Daydreams: Oh, Tay Tay. I have always enjoyed Taylor Swift, but her new album, 1989, is perfect to me. It’s kind of been the only music I have listened to for the past few weeks (specifically “I Wish You Would” and “Wonderland”). My obsession has grown so deep, that I recently paid the most I’ve ever paid for concert tickets ($125) to see Tay shake it off at Lincoln Financial Field in June. (Actually, I’m trying to sell my Saturday tix so I can go Friday with a few more friends, so if you’re interested, they’re here) But either way, I can’t wait.
I have a lot of blogging planned for the rest of the year, so keep checking back to see what Her Philly has going on. If you don’t subscribe on Bloglovin, give it a try so you don’t miss any of the action. Enjoy your weekend, ladies! xx
