So here we are . . . two years since I hit “publish” on my first post, back in 2012. Writing this blog started from a little idea to get out and explore my city, and it turned into so much more. I am so. thankful. for all of the experiences I’ve had and friends I’ve made over the past two years, so obviously, we’re celebrating!!!
First thing’s first: Her Philly’s got a new look! I have been lusting (and I mean lusting) after a simple, black and white theme for quite some time now. After so much Etsy searching and a whole lot of tweaking, I’ve got it looking pretty damn close to how I pictured. The most important thing is that my font is now Georgia – the only font I’ve used for anything since 2002. At least my priorities are in order.
Next up in celebration week: PRIZES! If you’ve been reading since last year, you’ll remember my birthday giveaway week, filled with lots and lots of amazing prizes that all happened to be from some of my favorite places in the city. This year, the prizes will be bigger and I’m spotlighting five brands you all know I love. The giveaways will start next Monday, but if you want to get a jump start on entries . . .
I’d love if you filled out my first ever reader survey! I absolutely looove hearing from you ladies, so instead of the generous feedback you all give me when I ask, I thought I’d put something a little more formal together. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to influence what gets published on the blog, so if you’ve ever thought: “I really liked that post – I wish there were more like that” or even “W.O.W. – I wish Emily would stop doing that,” now’s the time to speak up. The best part is, if you finish the survey and submit your email address, you’ll snag yourself an entry to each giveaway next week. It’s 10 questions and will take only a few moments and would make me the HAPPIEST blogging birthday girl on the planet if you filled it out. THANK YOU.
In conclusion, thank you all for an amazing two years. The addition of blogging in my life has been so great for me, and I am so appreciative for each and every time you’ve visited Her Philly. Here’s to many more! xx
