It’s. Sandal. Weather! There, I said it, and now it can be official. Sandals are back, and after this horrific winter of cold we just endured, life is good again. If you’re anything like me, the coming of sandals also equals the coming of pedicures, aka some of the most joyous hours one can spend in a massage chair (while reading a magazine, and getting your feet massaged).
I mean, you want your feet to look and feel their best right? First, you start off with a podiatrist to deal with anything icky like ingrowing nails. Then you might want a lymphatic drainage massage if your feet are like my friends and swell in the heat. Then the final step is to get those nails filed, waxed, and painted at the best pedicure place in the city… If only I could find that best place.
I like the pedicure places I’ve been to in the city, but none have really wowed me just yet. I’m normally in and out, trying to fit a pedi in before a beach weekend or mid-errand running. So, in my search to find the best pedicure in Philadelphia, I enlisted four of my friends/local Philly bloggers and influencers (if you will) to give you their top picks!
Blue Nail & Spa (2101 Walnut Street)
When you walk in, you’re offered a complimentary glass of champagne, and that is only the beginning to the extreme relaxation you will feel whilst getting this pedicure. These women, who are ridiculously friendly, give the best foot massage in the world, with hot stones and paraffin wax on your heels. Seriously, I was pretty much drooling during it. They have a plethora of all the best colors to choose from and finish off the pedicure while your toes are drying with a complimentary shoulder and neck massage. Seriously . . . it’s heavenly.

Coral Nails & Spa (413 South Broad Street)
Coral Nails is close to my apartment, they have a huge variety of colors, & they just do a really good job. But what I love most of all is that they massage you . . . for a long time . . . with hot stones on the legs & feet (swoon!) & then when you’re at the nail drying station, they massage your upper back, neck, & shoulders!

Salon Ba Si (116 South 19th Street)
I’m pretty picky about my pedicures – I want my nails perfect squovals & my feet baby soft, and that takes time & effort that most other salons aren’t willing to do. Jeff, owner of Salon Ba Si, is even more picky than I am, and that makes me incredibly happy. He takes his time (appointments generally run longer than an hour, and 2 hours isn’t uncommon) making sure that your pedicure is absolutely perfect, all while chatting about random topics & listening to a really awesome jazzy, soulful playlist.

Boutique Nails & Hair (901 South Street)
I found this nail salon on Yelp because I was looking for a salon that gave great gel manicures. Boutique Nails & Hair had high reviews and I honestly loved the nail designs they showcased on Instagram! The staff is really friendly and I felt like I was really attended to, rather than other experiences I have had which can be a bit awkward. I noticed a lot of the women customers were regulars too, so it was nice to see Boutique Nails & Hair had a large following.
