You guys may loathe me, because I basically asked for this whole winter weather thing to hurry up and hit us already. However, I regret to inform you that I have actually been loving this weather. I can connect this feeling back to this: being able to put seasonally-appropriate ensembles together without checking DarkSky 500 times before I walk out the door. Imagine that!
That being said, there have been a few staples that have been consistently getting me through the cold weather season. And I think it’s only right to share some of my favs with you, for your online shopping pleasure. {Note: you will not find snowboots in this post, because, as much as I’d love for them to be a staple of mine, I’m still rocking rain boots in 20+ inches. SOS.}
Faux Leather Jackets from ASOS
In the past, my opinion on biker jackets was always mixed. Don’t get me wrong, I thought they looked incredible on some women, but my biggest concern was always the proportions – I could never get my arms/chest/torso to all work in the same jacket. After some trial & error (and a petite size or two), I found my jacket, and let me tell you: I have rarely felt as cool as the times I’ve thrown on a faux leather biker jacket on over, well, anything. I’ve been pairing it with everything from jeans, a black tee, and a beanie to a pretty dress and booties. Obsessed.

Workout Tights from Athleta
Oh gosh, guys, these pants. I had oddly never tried Athleta clothing until some very nice Christmas gifts, and then I fell in love. They are so. soft. and have the crucial high waist band that I need while I’m spinning. The patterns and prints always seem to be fun but not too over-the-top. I rotate my two current two pairs (these floral babies and these multicolored ones) as often as I can.

Long Sleeve Dresses from Nordstrom
As you become more of an adult (as much as I don’t really feel like one at all, exhibit A), the amount of long sleeve dress options to choose from becomes more and more fruitful. I am not complaining about this though, because I love them. I used to wear cardigans daily, like so much that I have the J. Crew Outlet standard in basically every color. But as I’ve slowly grown out of that look, the “throw on and go” element of a long sleeve dress has brought me through. I wore this one to a recent winter wedding and my company holiday party, and it kept me perfectly warm and cozy in one piece. And then I threw my biker jacket over it. 🙂

I feel as though this post would not be complete without an honorable mention to my oversized blanket scarves from Primark, but you gotta go to KOP for those babies. Happy shopping! xx
