Happy Leap Day, you crazy kids! February has been a super busy month for me, and now that I’ve gotten these cold weather cravings out of my system, I’m loving these little tastes of spring weather lately. There’s a lot to look forward to this month, and today, I’m coming to you with two little (/major, semi-time sensitive) announcements.
First up: my first official speaking engagement! You guys know I am involved in PHLBloggers, a Philly blogging group filled with some amazing local ladies. Well, our fearless leader, Chrystina, has made a larger dream of hers a reality and created The Blog Connect! The conference is happening on April 16th at the Saxbys Headquarters (2300 Chestnut Street) and is targeted towards bloggers and small business owners looking to learn a thing or two.
There are awesome talks throughout the day, all ending with a Community Blogging Panel. The panelists include Bekah of That’s Normal, Rachel of The Crafted Life, my buddy Jessica of Jessica Lawlor, and . . . me! I am so honored to be included with these awesome women chatting all about how we’ve formed communities with our readers (hey, you reading this, thanks for being great). I’ll certainly keep you all posted on how it goes, but if you’d like to attend (& you totally should), listen up!
Today is the LAST DAY to get yourself a discounted, early bird ticket to the conference for $50. After today, tickets go up to $70, so make it happen, ladies! I hope to see you there.
My second mini announcement: I’ve been nominated for Philly Blogger of the Year (!!!) by The Happening List. I won the award in 2014, so this year I’m focused on regaining my title. 😉 It only takes a second to vote, but voting ends today! If you enjoy reading this blog, I’d love your support!
